Just enrolled in a Humana prescription drug plan? Here are some steps that may help you use your new Medicare Part D plan - while you are waiting for your Humana Member ID card to arrive in the mail.
First, the easiest way to get your Humana Membership information may be to go on the www.Humana.com site click on the link in the middle-left of the page entitled: "View ID Card"
or if you would like to check on the status of your enrollment online, you can also click on the link https://www.emphesys.com/MemberCard/Welcome.asp You will see a form that allows you to enter in your personal information. You will need to enter your SSN and/or Member ID, date of birth, and zip code (as entered on your enrollment form). You can then view and print your Letter of Coverage. You Letter of Coverage will allow you to use your new prescription drug plan at participating pharmacies even before your physical Member ID card arrives.
In addition, you can set up an online access account on www.Humana.com. In the gray "Log in" area (upper right-hand side of the screen) - click on "Register Now". Next click on "Medicare Member - All plan types". On the next page, enter your SSN as your Member ID, date of birth, zip code and email address. Then click on "next" and follow through the next pages. This will set up an electronic overview of your Medicare Part D activity, allow you to see your Member ID information, and you can check on the status of your plan - really a nice feature.
