The
standard or model 2015 Medicare Part D plan
includes a $320 initial deductible; as compared to the $310 initial deductible
in 2014 Medicare Part D plans. However, although most 2015 Part D plans
will not follow the 2015 standard model Medicare Part D plan exactly, the
majority of 2015 Part D plans will have some type of initial deductible.
According to our calculations, less than half (42%) of all 2015 stand-alone
Medicare Part D plans will offer a $0 initial deductible. As an example,
of the
31 plans available in
Ohio,
13 stand-alone Medicare Part D plans will have a $0 initial deductible in 2015.
