At Q1Group LLC and our sites Q1Medicare.com and Q1Insurance.com ...
Q1Group LLC, Q1Medicare.com and Q1Insurance.com .

We strive to provide you with the highest quality information on various insurance and Medicare products such as Medicare Part D prescription drug plans, Medicare Health Plans (Medicare Advantage Plans - with and without prescription drug benefits (MA-PDs and MAs)), and Medicare Supplements (or Medigap plans).

Remember, the same insurance product offered from the same insurance company, even when regulated by the Federal or State Government, will always be available to you at the same price.

In other words, you will pay the same premiums for your insurance or Medicare products no matter where you decide to enroll -- you can enroll directly with the company, enroll through a licensed insurance agent, or sometimes even directly with the United States Government (for instance, with some Medicare products).

Naturally, there may be a price difference between different Medicare and insurance products and there can be differences in prices between the various insurance carriers. For instance, if you are in the state of Georgia and you decide to enroll in a Medicare Supplement Plan F (or Medigap Plan F), you will find that there is some price variation between different companies (sometimes a lower initial price may mean a larger increase in later years). Yet, once you have settled on a certain insurance carrier, you will always pay the same price no matter where or how you enroll.

So is it better to enroll through an Insurance Agent or directly with the Insurance Carrier?

The best way to enroll in an insurance product will depend on your own personal preference - no matter how you enroll, you will end up in the same place - and pay the same premiums.

Some people would rather work with an insurance agent so that they have a real person they can call with questions -- or concerns. An insurance agent certainly cannot answer every question, nor can an insurance agent solve every problem. However, an agent has a certain amount of experience and can point you in the right direction when there is something beyond their scope of expertise.

Other people would rather work directly with the insurance carrier or through the government (for instance, when purchasing a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan). These people usually understand the details of their chosen insurance product and if they have questions or problems, they will contact the insurance carrier directly for assistance.
